How To Make Aloo Chana chaat

                                                          

    ALOO CHANA CHAAT RECIPE



INGRIDENTS:

i-  2cups boiled lentils white chana

ii- 1 teaspoon oil

iii- half a teaspoon of cumin 

iv- 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder 

v- salt to taste 

vi- use 2 tamarind pulp instead of tamarind        souce.

vii- 1 chopped green pepper 

viii-1 small onion chopped

vix- 1 small potato boiled and chopped 

  x - 1 chopped tomato 

Coriander for garnish 

RECIPE:

  • Wash and peel the potatos until soft. Peel a squash, grate it and and cut it into small cubes. 

  • Sit on one side. if you are using tamarind pulp, soak tamarind pulp in warm watet for about 15-20 minutes till it become soft. Mash the pulp with a spoon or use your hand to separate the pulp from Venis, seeds and membranes. Filter the tamarind pulp and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a small frying pan or small pot and add cumin seeds.

  • When the cumin is golden and fragrant, add the boiled gram and fry for about 3 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder and salt,then tamarind pulp and fry for 2 minutes. Gram should be on the dry side.
  • Remove from the heat and placed the mixture in a midium sized bowl to cool.
  • Once the mixture has cooled, add chopped, potatos, tomatoes, green chili, and onion.

  • Mix together and garnish with chart masala and green chilis.
  • Serve at room temperature.

Lentils can be stored in the freezer by pre- boiling.If you regularly enjoy chana chat it is a good idea to boil large consignment and pack it in the freezer.just melt and use as needed.
