How to make popcorn at home

  EASY POPCORN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoon coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil.

1/3 cups high quality popcorn kernels.

1 tablespoon butter or more to taste optional.

Salt to taste.

METHOD:

1- Heat the oil:

Heat the oil in 3-quart thick saucepan over medium-high heat. If you are using coconut oil, then all the solid oil melt.

2- Add 3 or 4 popcorn kernels to the oil:

wait for the popcorn to pop.

3- Add the remaining popcorn:

When the kernels open, add remaining 1/3 cups popcorn kernels in a uniform layer.

4- Wait for the popcorn to pop:

When the popcorn kernels open, fold in the remaining kernels evenly.

5-cover the pot remove from the heat and count for 30 second:

(Count out loud! It's fun to do with kids.)

This method first heats the oil to the correct temperature, then after waiting for 30 seconds all the remaining kernels are brought to approximately popping temperature so that when they are reheated they will all pop up at the same time.

6- Return the pan to heat:

Popcorn should start popping up soon, and all at once. Once the popping has begun, shake the pan lightly and move it back and forth on the burner.

7-Once the popping has slowed down for several seconds between popping, remove the pan from the heat:

Remove the lid, and immediately place the popcorn in a large bowl.Once the popcorn pops off, remove from the heat.Immediately empty the popcorn in a serving bowl.

With this technique, almost all the nuts are loosened, and nothing burns.

8-Melt butter in an empty hot pan:

If you are adding butter, you can now easily melt the butter in an empty, but hot pan.Melt the butter to drizzle over the popcorn.

Hint: If you let the butter turn a little brown, it will add even more intense, buttery flavor to the butter and your popcorn.

Drizzle only melted butter over the popcorn and toss to distribute.

9-Sprinkle salt to taste on popcorn:

Fun toppings for popcorn - Spanish smoked paprika, edible yeast, red pepper powder, black pepper, curry powder, cumin, crushed Permian cheese.
