How to make sheer khorma

    Delicious sheer khorma recipe 


Sher-e-Khurma is a rich traditional milk dessert consisting of dates, sugar, dried fruits and nylon vermicelli prepared especially on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha along with the Eid of Ramadan.

        


INGRIDENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons ghee 30 ml
  • 10-15 cashews are broken.
  • 10-12 chopped almonds.
  • 10-12 pistachios chopped.
  • 10-15 golden raisins
  •  Cut 6-7 large palms or use 10 small palms.
  • 1 cup broken vermicelli
  • 1/2 cup crushed mawa optional 1 liter whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons sugar or to taste
  • 1.5 teaspoon rose water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder 

METHOD:

1- Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add chopped nuts, raisins and dates to the pan.




2- Cook for 1 to 2 minutes till the nuts become fragrant and golden brown. The raisins will thicken. Remove the nuts from the pan and set aside.


3- Now put the vermicelli in the same pan and mix well.


4- Fry the apples for about 3 minutes till they become light golden brown.

5- Now add khoya / mawa and fry for another 1-2 minutes. This step is optional, you can skip it.


6- Then put milk in the pan and stir. Turn the heat to medium and let the milk boil. Stir frequently in the middle so that the vermicelli does not stick to the bottom of the pan.


                                   

7- Once the milk starts to boil, turn the heat to medium and let it cook for about 8 minutes.

8-After 8-8 minutes the milk will thicken a little, then add sugar and mix.

 9-Transfer the fried nuts back to the pan and mix.

10- Add rose liqueur and mix.

11- And also cardamom powder.

12- Cook on medium heat for 2 to 3 more minutes and then turn off the heat.
