  BOMBAY CHICKEN BIRYANI RECIPE



Bombay Chicken Biryani is the most popular spicy South Asian mixed rice dish. It originated with the Muslims of the subcontinent. It is prepared using chicken pieces, rice, salt, pepper, green pepper, all spices, yogurt, herbs, dried herbs, raisins, pomegranate seeds, coriander and cloves. Bombay Chicken Biryani is a complete meal that is eaten for lunch or dinner. The recipe for Bombay Chicken Biryani in English is a must on every local Pakistani menu for the feast. It tastes great with green chili sauce and yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of rice
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Cumin 20 grams
  • Pepper 5 grams
  • Clove 5 grams
  • Cinnamon 5 grams
  • Black cardamom 4
  • Green Cardamom 4
  • 10 grams of sugar salt
  • Turmeric 1 teaspoon
  • 20 grams crushed red pepper
  • Yellow color 20 grams
  • Ber 10
  • Chaat masala 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomatoes 250 grams
  • Green coriander half a bale
  • Half a bunch of mint leaves.
  • 20 grams of green chillies
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
  • Lemons 2
  • Yogurt 250 grams
  • 50 grams of fried onion
  • Oil 250 ml 

Method

* Wash 1 kg of rice and soak it in water. Then boil the rice till it becomes 3/4.



* Heat oil in a pan, add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and fry till golden brown. Now add 1 kg       chicken and fry well.



* Then add cumin, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, black cardamom, green cardamom,            turmeric, sugar, salt, ground red pepper, salt, yellow color and yogurt. Mix well.

* Add 1 cup water and cook for a few minutes.



* Cut 250 grams of tomatoes, half a bunch of coriander and half a bunch of mint leaves           separately.

* Heat a little oil in a pan, add chopped tomatoes, coriander and mint leaves. Fry well.

* Then add 2 tablespoons chaat masala and 10 dried berries. Fry very well. Add the juice of     2 lemons and mix well.

* Spread the tomato mixture over the chicken mixture. Now make a layer of boiled rice on       top.



* Sprinkle 50 grams fried brown onions on top and cook over low heat till done.

* Take it out and serve with raita.
